The thermostat is known to stick and cause heating issues. Best to do away with it anyhow. I did a writeup on the kit, a quick search will yield the thread. The tube is attached to the side of the transmission with the same flow-through banjo bolts that are used to attach the transmission cooling lines.. Fluid comes out of the front fitting and goes to the transmission cooler (s).
