WebThe 7R was supposed to be an upgraded 7P that incorporated an IR seeker for terminal guidance (basically making it double as a Fox 1 and Fox 2). The program was cancelled in 1997. It's the last production variant of the Sparrow. It's main improvement are guidance upgrades. It was used by the dev's for testing.
